One of the summit’s highlights was the signing of a joint declaration by 58 countries, including France, China, and India, advocating for open, inclusive, and ethical AI. However, the United States and the United Kingdom did not sign this declaration, opting instead for a more flexible and less regulated approach to AI development.

Discussions revolved around compensating creators, ensuring cultural and linguistic diversity in AI model training, and addressing the legal status of AI-generated works. A key question remains unresolved: should copyright be granted to AI-created works?

A major announcement marked the summit: OpenAI confirmed the opening of its first office in continental Europe, in Paris. This decision reflects France’s attractiveness within the global AI ecosystem and its ambition to become a key hub for AI development and innovation.
